 Gunderson can now show off eight landslide victories after their most recent  match  on Wednesday. Their pitcher stepped up to hand the James Lick Comets  a   26-0 shutout. The  win was nothing new for Gunderson as they're now sitting on three straight.
  Alanna Martinez Poklong made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound,   keeping things locked down with   no  earned runs or hits while striking out 13 over five innings pitched. Martinez Poklong has been consistent recently: she hasn't  tossed less than five  strikeouts every time she's  pitched this season. Martinez Poklong was also big at the plate,  going 4-for-4 with four  runs, five  RBI,  and two  doubles.
 In other batting news,  the team  relied heavily on  Jaelyn Vejar, who  fired off three  triples, five  runs,  and five  RBI while going 3-for-5. Another player making a difference was  Breanna Bartek, who  scored five  runs and  stole two bases while going 4-for-4.
 Gunderson's victory bumped their record up to 8-3. As for James Lick, their loss dropped their record down to 6-6.
 Gunderson will head out on the road to  take on  Yerba Buena at 4:00  p.m.  on Friday. One thing working in Gunderson's favor is that they have posted big  run totals  in their last four matchups. As for James Lick, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Mt. Pleasant at 4:00  p.m.  on Friday.
