Ludlow's game on Saturday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Monday. They narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past the Easthampton/Hampshire Eagles 6-4. The victory was some much needed relief for the Lions as it spelled an end to their four-game losing streak.

The win was their first on the road , bumping their record up to 3-5. As for Easthampton/Hampshire, they dropped their record down to 1-7 with the loss, which was their fourth straight at home.

Looking ahead, Ludlow will venture away from home to challenge Ware at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Lions' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Indians have averaged an impressive 10.2 runs per game this season. As for Easthampton/Hampshire, they will host Southwick Regional at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
