Basketball Recap: Crescent City Raiders vs. Taylor Wildcats

Crescent City was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They were five points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 66-61 heartbreaker at the hands of the Taylor Wildcats. The contest was a 35-35 toss-up at halftime, but the Raiders couldn't quite close it out.

James Thomas was his usual excellent self, almost dropping a double-double on 23 points and nine rebounds for Taylor. Thomas is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last 17 games he's played dating back to last season. Zachery McKinnon was another key player, going 5 for 9 on his way to 15 points and five blocks.

Crescent City's loss dropped their record down to 3-10. As for Taylor, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven games, which provided a nice bump to their 12-4 record this season.
