There's no place like home for Tocoi Creek, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Monday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-2 victory over the Nease Panthers on Tuesday. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Toros also won the last time the pair played back in October of 2024.

The match was exciting from start to finish, as four sets needed extra rallies to gain a two-point lead. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 26-24, 26-24, 24-26, 26-28, 15-10.

Ari Ryan and Isabella Hayes certainly did their best on Tuesday to avoid the loss. Ryan had 19 digs and two aces, while Hayes had 14 digs and four assists. Hayes has been hot recently, having posted 11 or more digs the last four times she's played.

The win got Tocoi Creek back to even at 9-9. As for Nease, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-8.

Tocoi Creek didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-0 defeat against Beachside on the 25th. As for Nease, they have also already played their next match, a 3-0 loss against Wolfson on the 24th.
