Volleyball Game Preview: Ukiah Wildcats vs. Analy Tigers

Ukiah hasn't had much luck against Analy recently, but that could start to change on Thursday. The Wildcats are taking a road trip to face off against the Tigers at 5:30 p.m.

Ukiah is headed into Thursday's contest looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their third straight game on Thursday. They came up short against Windsor, falling 3-0.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-15, 25-19, 25-16.

Meanwhile, Analy entered their tilt with American Canyon on Tuesday with seven consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with eight. They came out on top against the Wolves by a score of 3-1. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last four times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

Analy had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. The match finished with set scores of 19-25, 25-19, 25-15, 25-17.

Ukiah better keep an eye on Jose Zapien Gomez. He was instrumental in Analy's win, getting ten digs and two aces. That's the most aces Zapien Gomez has posted over his last six games.

Ukiah's loss dropped their record down to 4-15. As for Analy, they pushed their record up to 22-5 with the victory, which was their seventh straight at home.

Ukiah came up short against Analy in their previous meeting back in April, falling 3-1. Can the Wildcats avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
