Basketball Recap: Jacob Wilson's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Bedford over Carrick

Bedford and Carrick squared off in some playoff action on Wednesday, but Bedford had to settle for second. They fell 73-62 to the Carrick Raiders. The Bisons just can't catch a break and have now endured seven losses in a row.

Bedford's defeat came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jacob Wilson, who went 6-for-11 on his way to 17 points and three steals. Aj Koontz was another key player, almost dropping a double-double with 13 points and nine boards.

Bedford's loss dropped their record down to 3-19. As for Carrick, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last ten matches. That's provided a massive bump to their 14-10 record this season.

Bedford does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Carrick, they have already played their next game, a 72-61 defeat against Chestnut Ridge on the 21st.
