Volleyball Game Preview: Schalmont Sabres vs. Ravena-Coeymans-Selkirk Ravens

The Schalmont Sabres will challenge the Ravena-Coeymans-Selkirk Ravens at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Having struggled with five losses in a row, Schalmont turned things around against Albany Academy on Tuesday. They walked away with a 3-1 victory over the Bears.

Schalmont had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 19-25, 25-18, 25-20, 25-15.

Meanwhile, Ravena-Coeymans-Selkirk hadn't done well against Lansingburgh recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. The Ravens were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Knights.

Schalmont's win bumped their record up to 5-8. As for Ravena-Coeymans-Selkirk, their victory bumped their record up to 4-6.

Schalmont came out on top in a nail-biter against Ravena-Coeymans-Selkirk when the teams last played back in September, sneaking past 3-2. Do the Sabres have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Ravens turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
