Volleyball Recap: Clark Falls Despite Big Games from Seren Gomez and Rachel Hirsch

Clark was the 2-0 winner over Westlake when they last played one another back in August of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Cougars fell just short of the Chaparrals by a score of 2-1 on Friday. The Cougars have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Clark's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Rachel Hirsch, who had 14 assists and four digs, and Seren Gomez, who had ten digs.

Clark's loss dropped their record down to 7-5. As for Westlake, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won ten of their last 11 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-3 record this season.

Clark didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 2-0 defeat against Canyon on the 22nd. As for Westlake, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 2-1 victory against Lake Travis on the 22nd.
