Baseball Game Preview: Lake Quinault Elks vs. Darrington Loggers

The Lake Quinault Elks are taking a road trip to square off against the Darrington Loggers at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. Lake Quinault will come into the contest with an undefeated record on the line.

On Friday, Lake Quinault made easy work of Wishkah Valley and carried off a 20-6 victory. The result was nothing new for the Elks, who have now won three matchups by 14 runs or more so far this season.

Meanwhile, Darrington came up short against Friday Harbor on Thursday, falling 8-1. The Loggers have struggled against the Wolverines recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive lost meeting.

Darrington saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Grady Stuvland, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base, one run, and one double.

Darrington's defeat dropped their record down to 1-8. As for Lake Quinault, they pushed their record up to 5-0 with the win, which was their third straight on the road.
