Basketball Recap: Concordia Lutheran Gets Big Victory over Higher-Ranked Lake Belton

Concordia Lutheran picked up another tournament win on Friday. They walked away with a 55-48 win over the Lake Belton Broncos. The victory was all the more spectacular given the Crusaders' disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 621st, while the Broncos are ranked 149th).

Concordia Lutheran is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-8 record this season. As for Lake Belton, their loss dropped their record down to 11-3.

Concordia Lutheran will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Morton Ranch at 8:00 a.m. on the 29th. Lake Belton and Gateway College Preparatory will compete for holiday cheer at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
