Lockney won the last time they faced Floydada and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Longhorns skirted past the Whirlwinds 4-3.

Haygen Lefevre was excellent, going 2-for-3 with two doubles. Those two doubles gave him a new career-high. Xavier Jimenez was another key player, going 1-for-3 with one double and one RBI.

Lockney's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 11-6. As for Floydada, their loss dropped their record down to 7-11.

Lockney will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Whirlwinds: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
