Basketball Recap: Timothy Christian Comes Up Short

Timothy Christian was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They lost 74-52 to the Glenbard East Rams. While losing is never fun, the Trojans can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Illinois basketball rankings (they are ranked 444th, while the Rams are ranked 152nd).

When it comes to explaining why Timothy Christian lost, don't look at Marc Gamble. Despite the final result, he went 5 of 10 on his way to 17 points in addition to seven boards and four steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Adam Roland, who posted ten points.

Timothy Christian's loss dropped their record down to 5-10. As for Glenbard East, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven contests, which provided a massive bump to their 7-4 record this season.

Timothy Christian will venture away from home to take on Southland College Prep at 7:00 p.m. on January 7th.
