Steele Canyon is 9-1 against Valhalla since March of 2017 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Wednesday. The Cougars will host the Norsemen at 4:00 p.m. Valhalla took a loss in their last match and will be looking to turn the tables on Steele Canyon, who comes in off a win.

Steele Canyon gave up the first runs on Friday, but they didn't let that get them down. They walked away with a 6-3 victory over West Hills. The win continues a trend for the Cougars in their matchups with the Wolf Pack: they've now won four in a row.

Belle Will spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three earned runs on seven hits.

At the plate, Isabella Azevedo was excellent, going 1-for-3 with two runs and one triple. Hailey Trujillo was another key player, going 1-for-4 with one stolen base and one run.

Meanwhile, Valhalla was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They were two runs away from ending the streak, but they lost a 5-3 heartbreaker at the hands of Granite Hills. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss the Norsemen have suffered since March 24th.

Avery Voth was cooking despite her team's loss, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one double and one RBI.

Steele Canyon's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 11-11-1. The road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.0 runs over those games. As for Valhalla, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-16.

Steele Canyon came out on top in a nail-biter against Valhalla in their previous meeting back in April, sneaking past 3-2. Will the Cougars repeat their success, or do the Norsemen have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
