Basketball Recap: St. Benedict at Auburndale Comes Up Short

St. Benedict at Auburndale lost against Rossville Christian Academy back in December of 2023 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The St. Benedict at Auburndale Eagles fell 52-43 to the Rossville Christian Academy Wolves.

Rossville Christian Academy's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Georgia Ahlstrom led the charge by putting up 19 points and three steals. Ahlstrom is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last three games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Kimora Wooden, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and 12 boards.

St. Benedict at Auburndale's loss dropped their record down to 5-2. As for Rossville Christian Academy, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 8-10.

St. Benedict at Auburndale is taking a road trip to challenge Middle College at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday. Rossville Christian Academy will take on Madison-Ridgeland Academy in a holiday battle at at 1:30 p.m. on Friday.
