After a string of eight wins, Jackson County's good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. They fell just short of the Brookwood Broncos by a score of 3-2. The Panthers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Broncos apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in August of 2022.

Jackson County actually scored more points across those five sets (109-108), but sadly they still had to settle for second. The match finished with set scores of 25-22, 19-25, 23-25, 26-24, 15-13.

Jackson County's loss dropped their record down to 16-5. As for Brookwood, they are on a roll lately: they've won 11 of their last 13 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-5 record this season.

Jackson County will square off against Rutland at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Brookwood, they will take on Midtown in a tournament on Saturday.
