Basketball Recap: El Paso-Gridley's Win on Tuesday Extends Winning Streak to Three

El Paso-Gridley won the last time they faced Lexington and things went their way on Tuesday too. The El Paso-Gridley Titans walked away with a 64-53 victory over the Lexington Minutemen. The win was nothing new for the Titans as they're now sitting on three straight.

Several Minutemen players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Tyler Steffa, who posted 13 points and six rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Joe Cheever, who scored six points and nine boards.

El Paso-Gridley's victory bumped their record up to 20-6. As for Lexington, their defeat dropped their record down to 22-6.

El Paso-Gridley and Lexington should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Illinois Rankings. El Paso-Gridley will square off against Deer Creek-Mackinaw at 7:00 p.m. on Friday up 332 places (118 vs. 450). Similarly, Lexington (ranked 186th) will meet Ridgeview (ranked 513th) at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
