Baseball Recap: Addison Trail Takes a Loss

After flying high against West Chicago last Monday, Addison Trail came back down to earth. Addison Trail fell just short of the Glenbard North Panthers by a score of 4-3 on Tuesday. The Blazers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Panthers apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in March of 2024.

Jonathon Valdez spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered three earned (and one unearned) runs on seven hits.

At the plate, Addison Trail saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Matt Garcia, who went 1-for-3 with one RBI.

Addison Trail's loss dropped their record down to 1-3. Glenbard North has started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

Looking ahead, Addison Trail will head out on the road to take on Lyons at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Glenbard North, they will take on Andrew at 1:30 p.m. on Friday.
