Softball Recap: Mallard Creek Comes Up Short

Mallard Creek fell victim to Hough and their airtight pitching crew on Thursday. They lost 12-0 to the Huskies. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Huskies this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 14-1 back in March.

Mallard Creek's defeat dropped their record down to 7-11. As for Hough, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 13 of their last 14 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 19-3 record this season.

Mallard Creek didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 29-21 loss against North Mecklenburg on the 28th. As for Hough, they have also already played their next match, a 15-1 win against Hopewell on the 1st.
