Football Recap: Calhoun Academy Takes a Loss

After flying high against North Sunflower Academy last Friday, Calhoun Academy came back down to earth. The Cougars came up short against the Benton Academy Raiders on Friday, falling 44-24.

Calhoun Academy's loss dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Benton Academy, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-2.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Calhoun Academy will host Delta Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Cougars will be up against the Raiders' rather soft defense (which has allowed 55.5 points per match), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Benton Academy, they will square off against Sylva Bay Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
