Soccer Recap: Geneseo Takes a Loss

After flying high against Alfred-Almond on Wednesday, Geneseo came back down to earth. The Blue Devils fell just short of the Wayland-Cohocton Eagles by a score of 3-2 on Friday. Geneseo haven't had much luck with Wayland-Cohocton recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.

Oren Ray wasn't going to let Wayland-Cohocton walk away unscathed as he scored both of Geneseo's goals, bringing his season total up to six goals.

Geneseo's defeat dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Wayland-Cohocton, their win bumped their record up to 2-0.

Geneseo wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and has already played their next contest, a 3-0 victory against Letchworth on the 9th. As for Wayland-Cohocton, they also didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next game, a 4-2 loss against Canisteo-Greenwood on the 8th.
