Quabbin Regional had to settle for second on Friday, but Finn Leander sure wasn't going down easily. Leander turned in nothing short of a gem, not allowing a single earned run over four innings pitched. He also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because Quabbin Regional is 2-1 when he allows at most one earned run, but 1-2 otherwise.

Leander and Quabbin Regional will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Tyngsborough at 4:00 p.m. on the 28th. The Panthers have some work to do to even out the 1-9 series between these two since April of 2018, but a win here would be a good start.
