Preview: West Florence Knights vs. Myrtle Beach Seahawks
The West Florence Knights will head out on the road to challenge the Myrtle Beach Seahawks at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
Last Friday, West Florence came up short against South Florence and fell 55-47. West Florence has not had much luck with South Florence recently, as the team's come up short the last four times they've met.
Myrtle Beach suffered their biggest loss since December 20, 2023 on Wednesday. They ended up on the wrong side of a tough 58-38 walloping at the hands of Wilson. While losing is never fun, Myrtle Beach can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' South Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 124th, while Wilson is ranked 32nd).
West Florence has been struggling recently, as they've lost five of their last six matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-13 record this season. As for Myrtle Beach, their loss dropped their record down to 8-8.
Things could have been worse for West Florence, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took a 38-22 loss to Myrtle Beach in their previous matchup on January 5th. Can West Florence avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
