Standley Lake waltzed into their contest on Wednesday with six straight wins... but they left with seven. They came out on top against the Golden Demons by a score of 49-38. The Gators have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Demons, too.

Standley Lake's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Sydney Martin led the charge by dropping a double-double with 17 points and 16 boards. Martin has been hot, having posted 11 or more rebounds the last five times she's played. Another player making a difference was Macy Palmer, who dropped a double-double with ten points and ten boards.

Standley Lake smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 12 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least 12 offensive rebounds in seven consecutive games.

Standley Lake's win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 20-3. As for Golden, their loss ended a ten-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 20-3.
