Basketball Recap: Everett Comes Up Short

Everett entered their game against McConnellsburg on Friday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. The Everett Warriors were dealt a 49-19 loss at the hands of the McConnellsburg Spartans. The contest marked the Warriors' lowest-scoring match so far this season.

McConnellsburg's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Brayden Ramsey, who posted 15 points along with eight rebounds and four steals. Ramsey has been hot for a while, having also posted two or more blocks the last 16 times he's played. Hoyt Glenn was another key player, dropping a double-double on ten points and ten boards.

Everett's defeat ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 5-7. As for McConnellsburg, their victory was their 13th straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 9-1.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Everett will host Tussey Mountain at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for McConnellsburg, they will look to defend their home court on Monday against Shalom Christian Academy at 7:00 p.m. McConnellsburg is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 60.1 points per game this season.
