Football Recap: Lakeside Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Lakeside lost against Tahquitz back in August of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Lancers were outmatched by the Titans and fell 55-16. While losing is never fun, the Lancers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California football rankings (they are ranked 823rd, while the Titans are ranked 362nd).

Despite the loss, Lakeside still got an impressive performance from Davion Dickerson, who rushed for 71 yards and one score on only seven carries.

Terrell Strong was a one-man wrecking crew For Tahquitz. as he rushed for 239 yards and four TDs on only 14 carries. Those 239 rushing yards gave Strong a new career-high. Jacob Arbuckle was another key player, gaining 128 total yards and two touchdowns.

Lakeside's defeat dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Tahquitz, they have started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

Coming up, Lakeside will look to defend their home field on Friday against Twentynine Palms at 7:00 p.m. As for Tahquitz, they will venture away from home to take on Rancho Mirage at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
