Volleyball Recap: Sulligent Comes Up Short

Sulligent was the 2-1 winner over Fayette County when they last played one another on Saturday, but their luck changed this time around. The Blue Devils took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Tigers on Saturday.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-17, 25-13.

Fayette County got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Preslee Kelly out in front who had 13 digs and two assists. Kelly has been hot, having posted 13 or more digs the last five times she's played.

Sulligent's defeat dropped their record down to 15-6. As for Fayette County, their win bumped their record up to 29-6.

Coming up, Sulligent will be playing in front of their home fans against Berry at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The timing is sure in the Blue Devils' favor as the squad sits on five straight wins at home while the Wildcats have been banged up by four consecutive losses on the road. Fayette County does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
