Football Recap: Superior Central Comes Up Short

Superior Central was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They were beaten by the Stephenson Eagles 52-6. The Cougars lost against the Eagles in their previous head to head back in September of 2017, too, but the margin this time around was even wider than the 54-30 score last time.

Superior Central's defeat dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Stephenson, their win bumped their record up to 2-5.

Coming up, Superior Central will head out to take on Carney-Nadeau at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Stephenson, they will welcome Rapid River at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The Eagles will be up against the Rockets' rather soft defense (which has allowed 42 points per matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
