Softball Game Preview: Wild Rose Wildcats vs. Port Edwards Blackhawks

The Wild Rose Wildcats will take on the Port Edwards Blackhawks at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. Wild Rose will be strutting in after a win while Port Edwards will be coming in after a defeat.

Wild Rose took a ten-run loss the last time they faced off against Westfield Area, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Wildcats won by a run and slipped past the Pioneers 11-10. The Wildcats' offense finally found a way to get into gear: the high-octane performance was a 180-degree turn from their last three games.

Meanwhile, Port Edwards lost 26-6 to Nekoosa on Friday. The Blackhawks have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Wild Rose moved to 10-6 with that victory, which also ended their three-game losing streak. As for Port Edwards, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-10.
