Baseball Game Preview: Hillcrest Knights vs. Bishop Kelly Knights

Hillcrest will face off against Bishop Kelly at 10:30 a.m. on Friday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Hillcrest managed to slip by Reynolds the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. Hillcrest lost 16-4 to Reynolds on Thursday.

Hillcrest got a good showing from Miles Ellingson, who tossed four innings while giving up three earned (and one unearned) runs off only one hit.

At the plate, Hillcrest saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Thomas Smith, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-3. The dominant performance gave Smith a new career-high in hits.

Meanwhile, Bishop Kelly was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They came up short against Bonneville, falling 10-2.

Sy Wong made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with two doubles and two RBI.

Hillcrest's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Bishop Kelly, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-5.
