Soccer Recap: Cascade Comes Up Short at Home Against Speedway

Cascade unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-pitch advantage in their season opener. They came up short against the Speedway Sparkplugs on Tuesday, falling 6-3. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Cascade of the 2-1 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in August of 2023.

They hit Speedway with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Declan Dodson, Lok Summers, and Brogan Trump.

Cascade has already played their next game, a 2-1 defeat against Crawfordsville on the 21st. As for Speedway, they also wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and have already played their next match, a 1-0 win against West Lafayette on the 21st.
