Softball Recap: Ambridge Bridgers vs. Penn Hills Indians
Ambridge's game last Thursday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Friday. They came out on top against the Penn Hills Indians by a score of 10-6. The high-scoring effort was just what the Bridgers needed considering they were shut out in their previous game.
Mackenzie Keber made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, tossing three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Keber was even better at the plate, going 3-for-5 with three RBI, two runs, and one triple. That triple marked the first that she hit this season.
In other batting news, Riley Davis was excellent, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 2-for-4. Those hits were her first of the season.
Ambridge kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. That's the most hits they've managed all season.
