Basketball Recap: Desmond Frazier's Big Game Can't Quite Lead San Pasqual over Ramona

San Pasqual was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They fell 74-63 to the Ramona Bulldogs. The Golden Eagles lost against the Bulldogs in their previous head to head back in February of 2022, too, but the margin this time around was much closer than the 79-41 score last time.

San Pasqual's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Desmond Frazier, who went 8 for 14 on his way to 18 points and five rebounds. Another player making a difference was Osvaldo Gonzalez, who posted 12 points.

Ramona's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Colin Dillon led the charge by going 6 of 9 from beyond the arc en route to 22 points and four steals. Dillon's evening made it three games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. Aiden Bestul was another key player, almost dropping a double-double on 14 points and nine boards.

San Pasqual's defeat dropped their record down to 2-13. As for Ramona, they moved to 5-11 with that win, which also ended their three-game losing streak.

San Pasqual wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 70-46 loss against Fallbrook on the 17th. Ramona has also already played their next game, a 94-66 victory against Valley Center on the 17th.
