Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
Poetry Community Christian suffered their biggest loss yet this season on Friday. They took a serious blow against First Baptist, falling 83-19. Poetry Community Christian was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 53-13.
Despite their defeat, Poetry Community Christian saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Alex Fernandez Woods, who scored six points along with two steals, was perhaps the best of all. That's the first time this season that Fernandez Woods grabbed two or more steals. Meanwhile, Heritage Christian ended up a good deal behind First Baptist last Friday and lost 52-34. While losing is never fun, Heritage Christian can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 1571st, while First Baptist is ranked 742nd).
Poetry Community Christian has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost six of their last seven matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-12 record this season. As for Heritage Christian, their loss dropped their record down to 0-5.
