Jack Britt hasn't had much luck against Gray's Creek recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Jack Britt Buccaneers will head out on the road to face off against the Gray's Creek Bears at 7:00 p.m. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the two teams will really light up the scoreboard.
While Jack Britt didn't have the best season last year (they finished 6-16), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. They never let Westover get on the board and left with a 10-0 win on Wednesday. The Buccaneers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won four games by seven runs or more this season.

The team relied heavily on Cameron Byers, who scored two runs and stole Three bases. while going 1-for-2. Jack Britt is undefeated when Byers posts two or more runs, but 1-3 otherwise. Ryder Blackburn was another key player, going 1-for-2 with two RBI and one double.
Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Gray's Creek). They put the hurt on Douglas Byrd with a sharp 22-0 victory on Wednesday. Perhaps unsurprisingly given the team's high-flying offense, the game also marked the team's biggest win of the season.
Tyler Jasinski was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, pitching two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than one walk in four consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, scoring two runs while going 1-for-2.
In other batting news, Riley Peterson was a standout: he scored two runs and stole Two bases. while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances. Eddie Foster also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.
Gray's Creek always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .632. The last time their OBP was this high was back in March of 2024.
Jack Britt's record is now 6-3. As for Gray's Creek, the victory got them back to even at 5-5.
