 Archbishop Mitty is 1-9 against Saint Francis since May of 2021 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit  on Saturday. The Archbishop Mitty Monarchs will take on the Saint Francis Lancers at 3:00  p.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
 Archbishop Mitty is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup  on Tuesday. Their pitcher stepped up to hand Hollister  a   6-0 shutout. Archbishop Mitty is really starting to get used to good results now that the team's won 12 straight.
 The result came thanks to  Kyleigh Mace's shutout, as she gave up just four  hits and racked up seven Ks. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't  pitched less than five  innings in 13 consecutive pitching appearances.
 On the hitting side,  McKenna Woliczko was  incredible,  going 2-for-3 with a  home run, two  runs,  and a  stolen base.  Mia Rodriguez was another key contributor,  scoring three  runs and  stealing a base while going 3-for-5.
 Meanwhile, Saint Francis put another one in the bag  on Wednesday to keep their perfect season alive. They blew past Willow Glen 10-0. Saint Francis' win was all the more impressive since Willow Glen was averaging only 2.41 runs allowed on the season.
  Kate Munnerlyn made a big impact no matter where she played. On the mound, she  didn't allow a single  earned run while striking out nine over five innings pitched. Munnerlyn was also stellar in the batter's box,  going 1-for-2 with a  home run and four  RBI.
 In other batting news,  the team  relied heavily on  Rebecca Quinn, who  scored two  runs while  getting on base  in all four of her plate appearances. Another player making a difference was  Maya Yumiba, who  scored two  runs and  stole a base while  getting on base  in three of her four plate appearances.
 Archbishop Mitty's victory bumped their record up to 23-3. As for Saint Francis, their win bumped their record up to 27-0.
 Saturday's   matchup will be a test for both team's pitchers. Archbishop Mitty hasn't had any issues making contact this season,  having earned a batting average of .371. However, it's not like Saint Francis struggles in that department as   they've  averaged .400. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
