Soccer Game Preview: DSST: Green Valley Ranch vs. Westminster

The DSST: Green Valley Ranch Raptors will venture away from home to challenge the Westminster Wolves at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. DSST: Green Valley Ranch's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for three straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

DSST: Green Valley Ranch fell victim to Regis Groff and their airtight defense last Friday. They came up short against the Fusion, falling 6-0. While losing is never fun, DSST: Green Valley Ranch can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Colorado soccer rankings (they are ranked 166th, while Regis Groff are ranked 36th).

Meanwhile, Westminster kept a clean sheet against Thornton on Monday. They put the hurt on the Trojans with a sharp 3-0 victory. The win continues a trend for Westminster in their matchups with Thornton: they've now won seven in a row.

Westminster hit Thornton with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Jared Silva, Nilmar Garcia, and Samuel Lozano.

Westminster's victory bumped their record up to 7-0. As for DSST: Green Valley Ranch, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-6-1.

DSST: Green Valley Ranch might still be hurting after the 4-1 loss they got from Westminster in their previous matchup back in September of 2024. That matchup was all but decided by halftime, at which point the Raptors were down 4-1.
