Softball Game Preview: Solon Comets vs. Stow-Munroe Falls Bulldogs

The Solon Comets will head out to square off against the Stow-Munroe Falls Bulldogs at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Solon came up short against Avon on Wednesday, falling 12-1.

Solon saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ali Palsa, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base and one run.

Meanwhile, Stow-Munroe Falls was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They lost 9-2 to Brecksville-Broadview Heights.

Stow-Munroe Falls' loss dropped their record down to 3-11. As for Solon, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost seven of their last eight games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-13 record this season.

Solon took their victory against Stow-Munroe Falls when the teams last played back in April by a conclusive 8-2 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Comets since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
