Baseball Recap: Freedom Victorious

Freedom hadn't done well against Nazareth Area recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Wednesday. The Freedom Patriots came out on top in a nail-biter against the Nazareth Area Blue Eagles, sneaking past 4-2. This was payback for the Patriots, who suffered a 3-1 loss the last time these two teams met.

The team relied heavily on Ryan Kullman, who went 2-for-4 with one home run and four RBI. Those four RBI gave him a new career-high.

The victory got Freedom back to even at 1-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Freedom will challenge Parkland at 4:45 p.m. on Thursday. The last four games Freedom has played (dating back to last season) have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one. As for Nazareth Area, they are packing up and heading out on the road for their first away game this season: they will square off against Emmaus at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
