Baseball Recap: Compton Comes Up Short

Compton came into their game on Wednesday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They came up short against the Lakewood Lancers, falling 17-10. The Tarbabes were not able to make up for their defeat to the Lancers from their previous meeting back in April of 2025.

Luis Galaviz was cooking despite his team's loss, going 1-for-3 with two runs and two RBI. Erik Vera was another key player, going 1-for-4 with two runs and one RBI.

Compton's loss dropped their record down to 7-4. As for Lakewood, their record now sits at 4-10.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Compton is set to face off against their familiar foe Jordan at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Lakewood will square off against rival Woodrow Wilson at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
