Football Game Preview: Jemison Panthers vs. Montevallo Bulldogs + Official Tickets

The Jemison Panthers will venture away from home to square off against the Montevallo Bulldogs at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with five consecutive losses for Jemison and seven for Montevallo.

It was a proper cat-fight when Jemison faced off against Demopolis on Friday. The Panthers were dealt a 35-8 defeat at the hands of the Tigers. While losing is never fun, the Panthers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Alabama football rankings (they are ranked 277th, while the Tigers are ranked 112th).

Meanwhile, Montevallo scored the most points they've had this season on Friday, but it wasn't enough. They were beaten by Sipsey Valley 62-28. The Bulldogs were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 42-0.

Jemison's loss dropped their record down to 1-7. As for Montevallo, their defeat dropped their record down to an identical 1-7.

Jemison was able to grind out a solid win over Montevallo when the teams last played back in October of 2024, winning 30-22. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Panthers since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
