Softball Recap: Riverside Comes Up Short

Riverside was the 3-2 winner over Milan when they last played one another on Friday, but their luck changed this time around. The Panthers wound up with the same score they had in their last game (3-2), but sadly the team found themselves on the wrong side of the score this time. The matchup marked their lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Olivia Hays was cooking despite her team's loss, going a perfect 1-for-1 with one triple and one RBI. That triple was her first of the season.

Riverside's loss dropped their record down to 5-2. As for Milan, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven games. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-3 record this season.

Riverside will head out on the road to square off against Camden Central at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Milan, they wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next matchup, a 5-1 victory against Chester County on the 21st.
