Elk Grove's season-opener on Tuesday wasn't quite what the team was looking for considering the end result. They and the Evanston Wildkits finished up their match with a 1-1 draw. Elk Grove had to tread lightly for part of the game as Marsil Merza and Olivier Bielecki were both handed yellow cards, which could explain the final result.
