Preview: Arizona Lutheran Academy Coyotes vs. Horizon Honors Eagles
The Arizona Lutheran Academy Coyotes will look to defend their home court on Monday against the Horizon Honors Eagles at 7:30 p.m. Both teams come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Even though Phoenix Christian scored an imposing 63 points on Friday, Arizona Lutheran Academy still came out on top. Arizona Lutheran Academy snuck past Phoenix Christian with a 69-63 victory. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Arizona Lutheran Academy.
Arizona Lutheran Academy got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Noah Draper out in front who dropped a double-double on 14 points and 10 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Stephan Iron shell, who scored 18 points.
Meanwhile, Horizon Honors strolled past Scottsdale Preparatory Academy with points to spare on Saturday, taking the game 37-23.
Their wins bumped Arizona Lutheran Academy to 2-0 and Phoenix Christian to 3-2.
Arizona Lutheran Academy didn't have too much breathing room in their game against Horizon Honors when the teams last played back in December of 2022, but they still walked away with a 45-39 victory. Will Arizona Lutheran Academy repeat their success, or does Horizon Honors have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
