Basketball Game Preview: Commerce Tigers vs. Chisum Mustangs

Commerce and Chisum are an even 5-5 against one another since January of 2020, but not for long. The Commerce Tigers will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against the Chisum Mustangs at 6:30 p.m. Commerce will be strutting in after a victory while Chisum will be coming in after a loss.

Commerce is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They claimed a resounding 79-47 win over Prairiland. The Tigers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won nine games by 20 points or more this season.

Meanwhile, Chisum took a blow against Winnsboro on Friday, falling 71-35. The Mustangs haven't had much luck with the Raiders recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.

Commerce pushed their record up to 12-5 with the victory, which was their fifth straight on the road. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 25.8 points. As for Chisum, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-11.

Everything went Commerce's way against Chisum in their previous matchup back in January, as Commerce made off with a 79-53 win. In that matchup, Commerce amassed a halftime lead of 41-19, an impressive feat they'll look to repeat on Tuesday.
