Basketball Recap: Dickson County Beats Mcewen for Their Third Straight Victory

Dickson County extended their winning streak to three games thanks to a huge performance from Brynee Snow. The Dickson County Cougars walked away with a 51-39 victory over the McEwen Warriors on Monday thanks in part to Snow, who went 6 for 8 en route to 16 points and five boards. Those 16 points gave her a new career-high.

Despite the loss, McEwen had strong showings from Laila Downs, who dropped a double-double on 22 points and 11 rebounds, and Shana Bohanon, who almost dropped a double-double on nine points and 12 boards. Downs' evening made it 22 games in a row in which she has scored at least ten points. Paris Shoemake was another key player, putting up two points.

Dickson County pushed their record up to 9-10 with the win, which was their third straight on the road. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 53.3 points per game. As for McEwen, they moved to 18-4 with that defeat, which also ended their eight-game winning streak.

Dickson County wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 67-32 victory against West Creek on the 28th. McEwen has also already played their next game, a 73-32 win against McKenzie on the 31st.
