Softball Recap: Fowler Wins Going Away Against Madera South

Fowler won the last time they faced Madera South and things went their way on Saturday too. Everything went the Fowler Redcats' way against the Madera South Stallions as the Fowler Redcats made off with a 12-0 win. The Redcats' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

Izzy Lopez made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and allowed only one hit over four innings pitched. The dominant performance also gave her a new career-high in strikeouts (five). She was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run while going 2-for-3. She also put up an RBI, which was her first of the season.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Anaiyah Rodriguez, who scored three runs and stole a base while going 2-for-3. That stolen base marked the first that she snagged this season. Natalie Gonzales was another key player, scoring a run and stealing Two bases. while going 1-for-1.

Fowler always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .607. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Madera South only posted an OBP of .000.
