Softball Preview: River Valley Vikings vs. Marion Harding Presidents
For the second straight game, River Valley will face off against Marion Harding. The Vikings will head out to challenge the Presidents at 5:15 p.m. on Wednesday.
River Valley is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They never let Marion Harding get on the board and left with a 31-0 victory on Tuesday. Perhaps unsurprisingly given the team's high-flying offense, the game also marked the team's biggest win of the season.
Kylie Eastep made a big impact no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only one hit while striking out 11 over five innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than eight strikeouts in seven consecutive appearances. She was also stellar in the batter's box, scoring four runs while getting on base in all five of her plate appearances. Those four runs gave her a new career-high.
