Basketball Recap: Breakthrough Charter Takes a Loss

Breakthrough Charter was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their eighth straight defeat dating back to last season. They were a single point away from ending the streak, but they lost a 54-53 heartbreaker at the hands of the Berry Wildcats.

Jordan Jackson had a dynamite game For Berry., dropping a double-double with 19 points and 16 boards. The team also got some help courtesy of Max Westbrook, who shot 50% from the field en route to 14 points and three steals.

Breakthrough Charter's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Berry, they have started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

Breakthrough Charter will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Billingsley at 7:00 p.m. on December 11. As for Berry, they have already played their next contest, a 57-56 win against Ellwood Christian on the 25th.
