Softball Recap: Temple Academy Takes a Loss

Temple Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 12th straight loss. They lost 13-7 to the Vinalhaven Vikings. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Vikings this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 10-0 on Tuesday.

Madelyn Grant was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-3 with three stolen bases and two runs. Another player making a difference was Meredith Thompson, who got on base in two of her three plate appearances with three stolen bases and one run.

Temple Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 1-13. As for Vinalhaven, they pushed their record up to 8-1 with the win, which was their sixth straight on the road.

Temple Academy has already played their next match, a 29-14 loss against Telstar on the 29th. As for Vinalhaven, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 13-12 defeat against Richmond on the 29th.
