Basketball Recap: Carver A&T Find Success

Carver A&T hasn't had much luck on the road recently (they'd lost three straight) but thanks in part to Laila Brandon that streak is no more. The Carver A&T Wildcats strolled past the Owings Mills Golden Eagles with points to spare on Monday, taking the game 36-17 with plenty of help from Brandon, who almost dropped a double-double with ten points and nine rebounds. The dominant performance also gave her a new career-high in three-point shooting accuracy (67%).

Caroline X was another key player, putting up four points. Those points marked the first that she's scored this season.

Carver A&T's win bumped their record up to 12-9. As for Owings Mills, their defeat was their 15th straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-18-1.

Looking ahead, Carver A&T will head out on the road to face off against New Town at 5:00 p.m. on March 3rd. Owings Mills does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
